I first become interested in Holistic Therapies in 1998 when I attended a full-time course at Coleg Powys. It took a few years to become established working as a mobile self-employed therapist. During this time I was approached by the Bracken Trust cancer support center, where I have been working as a holistic therapist since 2005.
I offer a range of treatments such as massage, reflexology, and Reiki. Prior to working at the trust I had never heard of Lymphoedema and soon became interested in understanding more about this condition.
In 2013 I began my MLD training by attending Dr Vodder basic body and therapy 1. I completed my training in 2014 and became a qualified MLD & DLT practitioner. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle form of massage to help decongest the tissues. It is an effective component in the treatment of Lymphoedema and Lipoedema and can assist in conditions arising from venous insufficiency. There are many more benefits of MLD, and it is such a deeply relaxing treatment.
