Sarah is trained in Adlerian Counselling and Psychotherapy, having completed the three-year training programme and gained her Diploma in 2010. The course is accredited by ASIIP (the Adlerian Society UK and Institute for Individual Psychology), an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Following her qualification as a counsellor, Sarah has undertaken further specialist training and has worked in a range of settings, including private practice, drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, and bereavement and palliative care. She has also trained with Living Well Dying Well as an End of Life Doula and has recently completed training as an EMDR therapist.
Before this, Sarah obtained a BSc (Hons) Degree in Human Biology in 1992 and a Diploma in Social Work in 1994. She brings extensive experience from over 30 years of work within the social care field, which strongly informs her therapeutic approach.
Sarah undertakes regular continuing professional development (CPD) in line with her professional registration requirements, ensuring her practice remains current, ethical, and evidence-based.
