I am trained in Adlerian Counselling and Psychotherapy, having undertaken the 3 year training to complete my Diploma in 2010. The course is accredited by ASIIP (Adlerian Society UK and Institute for Individual Psychology), an organisational member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Following this qualification as a counsellor I have undertaken further training and work in private practice, within a drug/alcohol rehab service, and within bereavement and palliative care settings. Currently I am undertaking training with Living Well Dying Well as an End of Life Doula.

Prior to this I obtained a Degree in Human Biology (BSc Hons) in 1992 and a Diploma in Social Work in 1994, and have extensive experience built up from working in the social care field for over 30 years.

I undertake regular CPD (continuing professional development) training in line with my registration requirements and courses I have undertaken for this include:

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework; additionally I am registered with Social Work England (SWE). I have an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check, insurance and regular supervision with a BACP registered supervisor.
