Craniosacral Therapy, Therapeutic Massage
As a Craniosacral Therapist, I use gentle, non-invasive touch – with the client fully clothed – generally between the head (cranium) and lower back (sacrum), to help restore ease and alignment – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I trained at the College of Craniosacral Therapy (CCST).
With Craniosacral Therapy, I am working primarily with the nervous system and the fascia (connective tissues) of the body, to enable the easing and release of acute and chronic tension and restrictions – whether caused by stress, trauma, illness, injury or birth. It is suitable for all ages – from newborn to end of life.
Craniosacral Therapy can help with a wide range of symptoms, including musculoskeletal (eg head, neck, back and joint pain), digestive, respiratory, neurological, psychological and emotional.
It can provide support to people experiencing major illness, stress, or injury, complementing any medical treatment being received. And it can help our recovery from significant episodes in our lives – whether our own or those of our loved ones.
Craniosacral Therapy helps us feel balanced, aligned, and grounded in our bodies and more comfortable in our skin. It can help us find greater clarity and peace of mind, increase our feeling of well-being and boost our resilience.
I have worked as a complementary therapist for over 30 years, so bring a wealth of experience, including many years working in NHS General Practices and in a Hospice.
I also offer Therapeutic Massage – on its own or in combination with Craniosacral Therapy.
My work is also informed and supported by training in Yoga, Mindfulness and Counselling Skills.
